Stranger Fest - Immersive Global Fan Experience in Mexico

Experiential & 360 Campaign

The Upside Down Takes Over Mexico City:

The Vision Behind Stranger Fest

Netflix approached this project with an audacious goal:
Create a true Zeitgeist moment in Mexico to promote the return of Netflix’s most iconic series. Laddering into the S4 positioning, we wanted to truly make it feel like the Upside Down was taking over Mexico City.

By creating not just one experiential stunt, but an entire six-weeks long “Festival” positioning, we took over conversation in the Mexico market and spanned the bridge between Volumes 1&2.

The Objective:

To celebrate and promote the release of Stranger Things Season 4 in Mexico through immersive, fan-centric experiences that would connect the show’s themes with local culture and boost fan engagement across digital and physical platforms.

Dexter:
Original Sin @ CCXP 2024

I led the creative ideation, production and execution of Dexter: Original Sin as the featured hero experience at the Paramount+ booth at CCXP 2024. The larger than life immersive space paid homage to the Dexter franchise and introduced fans to the upcoming Original Sin series, emphasizing the 90s Miami aesthetic throughout. We invited the cast of the new series, which includes Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, Patrick Dempsey, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, to experience the booth and speak on the CCXP Panel and Omelette Stage.

EXTERIOR:
We drew in franchise fans using the nostalgic hook of Dexter’s iconic Miami apartment.

INTERIOR:
Inside the house, we took fans on a journey into Dexter’s past. This entailed a gamified crime scene in which fans experienced a gruesome day as a Miami Metro intern, ending with Dexter’s first kill room, as portrayed in the new series, Dexter: Original Sin. “You never forget your first time.”
